Objectives:
These are some key objectives that Research Center for Social and Cultural Studies (PRISB) should aim to achieve in order to advance the realization of the “tri dharma” of higher education:
- Develop policies and programs that align with the “tri dharma” of higher education, which includes education, research, and community service.
- Create an environment that supports the advancement of knowledge of future researchers in basic and advanced social and cultural research by providing opportunities for training, mentoring, and research collaborations.
- Foster partnerships with the research community to establish a culture of high achievement, which includes collaborating with other research institutions, government agencies, and industry partners.
- Enhance the center’s capacity to conduct research in a global community by expanding the center’s international research collaborations and engagement with international academic conferences.
- Align excellence in research with the national social and cultural research priorities by focusing on areas of research that have the most significant impact on society and align with the national research agenda.
- Increase the center’s public visibility by publicly sharing and disseminating research outputs to promote the center’s research activities and findings.
- Deliver multidisciplinary social and cultural research to meet society’s needs, which includes conducting research that is relevant to addressing societal challenges and problems.
- Improve researchers’ knowledge and skills to secure and manage research grants, which includes providing training and resources to help researchers secure and manage funding for their research projects.
- Be the voice of the social and cultural research community by advocating for the importance of social and cultural research and engaging in public debates and policy discussions.
- Achieve financial independence by diversifying the center’s funding sources and exploring new revenue streams, such as partnerships with industry or private donors.
